Job Introduction:

G4S Secure Solutions based in Boksburg has a vacancy for a Business Development Manager: Integrated Solutions. 

Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, the Business Development Manager is responsible for the risk analysis, design and sales of integrated security solutions to prospective and existing customers, to achieve established individual and team sales targets.

Role Responsibility:

Identification of security risks and development of integrated security solutions opportunities

  • Development of sales strategy specific to the region, through analysis and understanding of the customer requirements related to integrated security solutions.
  • Identification of potential new business opportunities through consultation and cooperation with operational management, planned prospecting, leads, cold calling and tender notices.

  • Conduct / arrange site surveys to identify risks and develop appropriate mitigating integrated solutions to meet customer needs.

  • Conducting of security risk assessments.

  • Solutions design based on risk / site assessments relevant to customer requirements and risk mitigation integrated solutions.

  • Costing of proposed solutions.

  • Obtain approval from the Regional Financial Manager that the proposal complies with the costing models.

  • Prepare and submit sales proposals / tenders to prospective customers. Where necessary, prepare and conduct sales presentations.

  • Keeping abreast of products and services required to provide current effective integrated solutions.

Development and management of the sales and operations teams

  • Coaching, mentoring and facilitating the closure of pending deals.

  • Developing the sales and operations teams towards the selling of integrated solutions.

  • Achieve regional sales targets.

Effective performance of sales and marketing administrative functions

  • Finalise multi-level contract documentation (Service Agreement, Letter of Intent) as per standard terms and conditions, with any variation approved by the National Office.

  • Preparation and submission of Service Schedule to appropriate departments for processing.

  • Maintenance of the Salesforce system.

  • Ensure that a customer file is maintained, containing a signed copy of the contract, contract schedule, as well as any other relevant documentation is uploaded.

  • Ensure that the contract status report is updated on a monthly basis.

Effective reporting on regional sales and marketing activities

  • Preparation and submission of monthly report to ROD and National Sales Director.

  • Advise regional operational management of sales activities, competitors and product information.

Health and Safety

  • Prioritise safety in the business.

Minimum qualifications and experience

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant security or risk management qualification
  • PSIRA registered
  • Minimum 5 years' related experience (risk assessments, integrated solutions design and sales)
