Main Purpose of the Position:

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the CCTV Controller coordinates the provision of all  CCTV surveillance, downloads, reporting, analysis for on- system activations that must be dealt with in an efficient and effective manner in compliance with utmost standards, quality and health and safety for the mining operations for all in-shore and off-shore harbor activities.

Role Responsibility:

KPA

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

  • Monitoring of all CCTV, Guard Monitoring, Time and Attendance systems and reporting of activations

Monitor day incidents on systems and dispatch security officers

Report breach incidents and activations to management

Monitor access / egress registers and harbor import / export activities in tracking

Guard monitoring time and attendance including facilitate effective rostering

CCTV monitoring

Activation and closure of security systems

Monitoring and Maintenance of TAMS

Manage Maintenance and repairs of Cameras, UPS’s, Spotlights and electrical problems

  • Effective customer service and relations

Efficient response to all harbor customer (not our liaison client) on operational queries and complaints in a professional manner

Escalation of queries and requests to management as needed

  • Efficient administration of control room records and reports

Maintain and update all records of activations, response and feedback to contract manager

Maintenance of service requests and job requests records

Maintain and update Monthly Feedback report to client and contract manager

  • Monitoring of incident and report handling on site monitoring

Monitor incidents and trends on site CCTV

Dispatch security officers /SAPS, Emergency Services in case of emergency/ Incident

Reporting of activation/ incident to management/ SAPS

Liaison with contract management/ SAPS, Emergency Services with regards to the activation

Accurate logging of incidents, result  and action taken etc.

  • Monitor and establish HSSEC culture and standards

Drive HSSEC awareness and behaviour within site / operational environment

Audit business on H&S standards and compliance. Report on non-compliance and corrective actions

Participate in health and safety awareness training and provide guidance during site visits/audits on HSSEC matters and issues


The Ideal Candidate:

The position requires at least 1-3 years experience within a security mining technology enabled environment. The successful incumbent is a self starter with a proven track record in maintaining risk and conflict incidents and company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which operations plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

 

Key Attributes and Competencies

Formal Education:

Grade 12 or equivalent

Advantageous Tertiary Qualification / Diploma in Security Management and / or Relevant Degree

PSIRA Grade B and A

Registered Security Service Provider
