Job Introduction:

To drive economic value to the business as a result of leading the implementation of both regional and local procurement strategies that deliver measurable improvements in cost, quality and service.  Work closely with the business units and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment between the organisation needs and Procurement objectives

Role Responsibility:

  • Lead, manage and develop employees and embed a culture of procurement excellence and best practice, maximizing individual strengths and developing talent.
  • Accountable for line management and workload management of Country Procurement Managers.
  • Ensuring all countries follow the agreed procurement processes and governance.
  • Recognised Procurement Leader in the eyes of the business and the procurement team.
  • Ensure that the procurement function is front and centre of all supplier commercial negotiations.
  • Able to engage and present to Regional EXCOM and Country Leadership Teams. Driving and steering the strategic agenda with the business executive leaders.
  • Develop and implement and align the procurement strategy ensuring alignment with the overall regional and business strategies.
  • Lead major strategic procurement initiatives and build positive working relationships with senior stakeholders, developing appropriate engagement processes to successfully influence procurement investment, budget and planning cycles.
  • Accountable for the successful roll-out of large, more complex supplier relationships/category management strategies.  
  • Ensure full contractual and legal compliance ensuring suppliers perform strictly in line with contractual conditions and legislative requirement including risk assessments.
  • Ensure regular market testing and benchmarking is performed to ensure maintenance of market competitiveness, value for money and best practice.
  • Responsible for the creation, monitoring, reporting and delivery of the procurement targets.

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in Professional Procurement Management function, preferably within an international complex matrix organisation.
    • Excellent sourcing and contract management skills in the procurement of direct and indirect products & services.
    • Ability to influence key &diverse stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage fluctuating workloads with a flexible approach to the fulfilment of work commitments.
    • Demonstrable knowledge of sub-contracting processes including legislative requirements around asset and facilities management.
    • Highly developed analytical skills able to identify key technical options at the highest level.
    • Strong decision making skills, ability to balance consultative and directive approaches appropriate to scope and scale of decision.
