Job Introduction:

HR Processing Team Leader

G4S Cash Solutions has a vacancy for HR Processing Team Leader based in Centurion.

Reporting to the HR Shared Services Manager, the HR Processing Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timeous administration/completion of the HR admin process in line with company policies and procedures.

The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgment in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which  Human Resources  plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

Role Responsibility:

Effective and accurate management of centralized employee engagement

  • Update and load new salaried employees onto VIP & Easy Roster
  • Update employee job title and fields as per approved movement forms
  • Terminate, promote, demote, transfer employees on VIP and Easy Roster as per approved movement forms
  • Capture leave forms
  • Follow up on medical aid applications
  • Follow up on necessary information for Pension Fund withdrawals
  • Follow up on items issued for terminated staff (return)

Administrative support for HR Admin functions and reports

  • Open files for new employees
  • Ensure files are labelled, in correct format and neatly filed continuously
  • Ensure continuous maintenance of personal files
  • Ensure all HR documents are on file
  • Documentation filed within 2 weeks of issuing
  • Update the G4S Org data to reflect the changes on a monthly basis
  • Maintaining existing filing system and ensure the safety of confidential material
  • Generate excel reports on payroll data as requested
  • Maintaining necessary stationery stock for team
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing mail/courier services

Company Policy & Procedure Compliance

  • Monitor and audit compliance on a Regional basis to company policy and procedure
  • Identify areas of concern, deficiency and implement change procedures
  • As needed, intervene to ensure compliance

Administer key employee benefits

  • PSIRA administration
  • Pension fund
  • Medical Aid
  • Funeral Scheme
  • Disability benefits
  • COID

Management of staff

  • Apply poor performance management or employee relations management principles and processes should this be required
  • Monitor the achievement of team objectives and goals
  • Provide support, coaching (train) and mentoring continuously to ensure that objectives are met
  • Ensure completed development plans for each employee
  • Allocation resources appropriately to ensure operational demands are met
  • Ensure that events/activities taking place in team are effectively communicated within the team and to other teams requiring the information
  • Ensure adequate succession planning to meet on-going and anticipated business requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent with a preferred diploma in Office Management/HR administration
  • 1-2 years relevant administration experience in a similar role
  • VIP and Excel experience will be advantageous


  • Knowledge of administrative procedures such as travel arrangements, scheduling of meetings and resources
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of  recruitment and payroll processes within HR


  • MS Office Computer skills – specifically EXCEL and PowerPoint at an advanced level
