Job Introduction:

Industrial Relations Officer - East Coast Region

G4S Secure Solutions (SA), a leading global integrated security solutions company, has a vacancy for an Industrial Relations (IR) Officer for Gauteng Provinces based at our offices in Boksburg.

The purpose of the position is to efficiently and accurately review disciplinary matters within a region, as well as maintenance of CCMA cases. 

Report high risk cases to Senior Management to mitigate risks

Perform the role of Chairman in disciplinary hearings

The position requires at least 2-3 years’ experience within an Industrial Relations/Security Management environment.

The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which administration plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

  1. Effective performance of labour relations functions
  2. Ensure compliance with Company policy and effective reporting
  3. Effective performance of Administrative functions. 
  4. Ensure competence of CCMA processes

The Ideal Candidate:

Formal Education:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent with a preferred diploma in Labour Relations.
  • Drivers license and own vehicle
  • Computer literate

  • Knowledge of Section 189 and 197 of the LRA and effective handling of the retrenchment processes
