Job Introduction:

Temporary Human Resources Administrator:

G4S Cash Solutions has a vacancy for Temporary HR Administrator based in Centurion.

Reporting to the HR Shared Services Manager, the HR Administrator is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely administration/completion of the HR administration process in line with company policies and procedures.

The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which support plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

Role Responsibility:

Main purpose of the position:

To provide administrative services to the national human resources head office and administer employee benefits and human resources procedures and vetting and screening.

Key performance areas:

Vetting and Screening 

  • Ensuring vetting is conducted in line with the Matrix and Core Standards
  • Administration of post-testing procedure
  • Follow up on outstanding results and query resolution
  • Compile spread sheets
  • Filing of Low level vetting documentation
  •  Assist in creating links for SHL online testing
  • Maintaining of Vetting database and record keeping platforms

 

General Administration

  • Vacancy requisition and hiring approval processing for sign off
  • Provide feedback to regions on status of processing
  • Capture Leave – VIP and NBC
  • Updating and administering of PSIRA records on all relevant platforms
  • Updating and administering of Vetting numbers on all relevant platforms
  • Tax number project for the Pension Fund

Administrative support for HR Admin functions and reports

  • Open files for new employees
  • Ensure files are labelled, in correct format and neatly filed continuously
  • Ensure continuous maintenance of personal files
  • Ensure all HR documents are on file
  • Generate excel reports on payroll data as requested
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing mail/courier services

Health and Safety

  • Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/region/national safety plans for each year.
  • Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks
  • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
  • Discuss all safety incidents on all levels
  • Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/management
  • Attend safety education and refresher programmes
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures at workplace
  • Distribute safety information as and when required

The Ideal Candidate:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Diploma in Office Management/HR administration preferred
  • 2 years’ experience in a related administration role

Knowledge, skills and attributes:

  • Knowledge of administrative procedures such as travel arrangements, scheduling of meetings and resources
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of  recruitment and payroll processes within HR
  • MS Office Computer skills – specifically EXCEL and PowerPoint at an advanced level
  • Acting professionally
